Good news for property buyers!

From 1st January 2019 to 30th June 2019, all Malaysian citizen who is buying a house (limited to ONE Residential Property only per person, priced from RM100,000 to RM2.5 million) is eligible to enjoy a minimum 10% Discount (you may get more) from the Property Developers.

On top of that, you will also get a 100% stamp duty exemption on MOT (Memorandum of Transfer – priced up to RM1mil) and Loan Agreement (priced up to RM2.5mil).

 

Summary on the Stamp Duty for Transfer of Ownership 2019 :
  • Stamp duty remain at 3% for property above RM1mil to RM2.5mil till 30.06.2019.
  • Stamp duty shall increase from 3% to 4% for property above one million starting from 1.7.2019.
 
Stamp Duty Exemption (SPA & LOAN)*

Stamp duty exempted for first home buyer as per below circumstances:-

  1. Direct purchase of residential property from developer at the price of RM300k to RM1mil from 1.1.2019 till 30.6.19
  2. Property which is RM300k or lesser will be entitled to full stamp duty exemption from 1.1.19 till 31.12.2020
  3. Property which is RM500k or lesser will be entitled to stamp duty waiver for first RM300k i.e. RM5k from 1.7.19 till 31.12.2020
